Chemical Peel

Chemical Peel in Reno, NV

Chemical peels offer a range of benefits for people seeking overall skin rejuvenation. These treatments involve the application of a solution containing alpha hydroxy acid, beta hydroxy acid, and/or trichloroacetic acid, providing a transformative exfoliation experience.

What to expect during your chemical peel

Before.

The process begins with a consultation with an experienced aesthetician to determine the most suitable peel type for the individual’s skin concerns and lifestyle.

During.

On the day of the peel, the skin is thoroughly cleansed to remove any surface impurities. The chemical solution is then skillfully applied, causing a controlled exfoliation of the outer layers of the skin. The sensation during the peel varies based on its intensity, ranging from a mild tingling to a more pronounced, temporary discomfort.

After.

Post-application, it's normal to experience redness, and in some cases, swelling. Over the following days, the skin undergoes a peeling process, revealing a fresh layer beneath. While lighter peels may require minimal downtime, more intense peels will involve a more robust peel in a shorter time frame. Most of the peeling is complete by the seventh day. Throughout the journey, adherence to post-treatment care, including gentle cleansing, moisturizing, sun protection, and avoidance of harsh skincare products, is crucial for optimal results. Makeup is usually avoided immediately after the peel. You can wear makeup beginning the following day.
